my brother is baq fr japan!
my brother is back from japan! i am so happy =D he is finally back! i like to talk cock w him, and see him catwalk. his model poses. his slim silhoutte is definitely what girls dream for! guess wad did be bring back? he brought back some japanese confectionery, bought each of us a gift, and and also lots of souvenirs fm Soka university for the ntu student division frens. he’s so fortunate to be able to save enuff money to go to japan for a 1month internship. im v glad for my brother.
its great!
he bought me a tube dress that can be doubled up as a long skirt. its a blue checker skirt. he says that there’s dis checkers craze in japan now *shocked! and its the MOST hip design now. oh wells! i dun feel so! probably cos im ’stationed’ in singapore thats y i dun feel it!! haha the dress doesnt have to be ironed. clver brother. my brother likes to buy clothes for me that neednt be ironed. like the beige skirt that i have. its also the kind the-more-crumpled-the-more-cool kinda skirt. oops! he sure knows me well enuff!
*LAZY BONE!
oh! and he also bought instant, ready made coffee that are contained in plastic containers.he was soo soo soo eager to let us try the coffee. once he reached home, he immediately wenta prepare the beverage for us. the coffee has a unique taste to it. i have never tasted that before, and i cant aliken the taste to any known food stuff / drinks that we could haf consumed before.
he says that in japan, people usually drink coffee in the morning. but because brewing coffee is such a chore, they have produced packaged coffee. just add some milk to it and u are ready to enjoy the coffee. but! its cold coffee. you gotta store in the refrigerator and it can only be kept for 2 days. well, good enuff! i cant imagine myself keeping coffee for moer than 2 days. coffee is my FAVOURITE beverage!! haha but, the tot of taking cold coffee early in the morning seems very li jing to me. tea time, perhaps!
HA! then he offered us the confectionery. its weird lar their tau3 sar1. doesnt seem very tau-sar-ish. man. then my father told my brother ‘eh kor, buy me a dog’.
my brother was like ‘huh? fking no link!!!’ (he dint say it, but i know he was thinking of that. precisely. he just gave a very puzzled look)
and my father said ‘ come on lar mervin, gimme a dog so that i can feed the dog the tau sar pastry~ ‘
hahha dam funny lar!!
oh, and he brought back a traditional japanese toy. it is very fun to play with. it’s a toy that trains up one’s reflexes.
very fun! *thumbs up* once i am proficient in it and my brothers play until sian alr i can lend my frens. yay. =D let them play !!
haha but come to think of it, bringing a toy to school seems very absurd. if my frens wanna play, must make it mandatory that they give the look like ‘eh i dun gif a damn abt the toy lar’ then can look more “cool and adult”. alternatively, can play in the toilet. hahha close doors alr no one know lor.
*hardcore!!!
well, my brother brought back things that are tangible, and things that are not tangible as well. things such as, a change in perspective and his way of conduct. it’s something that cant be touched, as its not an object. but its something that can be felt. he told us that when he was at japan, he felt so much warmth, enthusiasim and energy frm the locals, especially the soka university students.
they were so hospitable. when they knew that my brother was coming, they welcomed him and brought him arnd for food, to buy books, and to visit hot springs. he felt v shocked cos they dun even know him, but they treated him so well, as if he is part of a family. ”family” is the word. it’s unity, harmony and all things that generates energy.
they are also very helpful. when they knew that my ah gong was in a critical condition, they all also gathered at some1’s house to chant for my ah gong’s medical condition to improve. my brother said he felt it was v heart warming. whn i heard it, i was filled with disbelief. they called up their friends, neighbours and all of them met up in the evening to chant with absolute resolve to help in whatever ways they can. they also encouraged my brother and gave him comfort. imagine urself helping a ’stranger’s grandfather’ chant for 1 hr. you must have the heart of a buddha to be able to be able to do that. to probably postpone what you’ve originally planned, to help out some1. some1 u do not know.
i am touched. when my bro said that, he sounded very moved, too. i cant imagine my brother being touched. (finally there are people who were able to move him to tears). they also helped him find cheaper air tickets to fly back, made many calls to travelling agencies and airline companies. just for him, just for a ’stranger’. perhaps in their world, there is no such thing as ’stranger’. perhaps, every1 belongs to their family.
an extended family.
