all things nice
i always like to think about things that i like. i mean, when i haf the free time that is.
you know, people change. so do the things that they like change.
in the past, i used to like loud colors. just look at the clothes i used to buy and the clothes i wear now. i’d say no to dull colors like brown, black or beige.
but as i age (haha, yes lar) i start to appreciate things that nv caught my attention in the past.
i used to detest pink alot. i tot pink is a superbly gross color that only bimbos would sport. but now, i start to appreciate pink. in fact, i think i love most colors now. with the exception of orange(all shades of orange), and probably some shades of purple and i realy, dun , like, TEAL.
same goes for ribbons and butterflies. i used to find them very ’sissy’ since i was once a tom boyish kid. i felt that ribbons and butterfly prints on clothes symbolize weakness and lack of ‘brains’ i.e. bimbo. haha but now.. ermmm i sorta find them nice. OOPS!
in the past, i used to think striking brown and blonde hair look nice. but now, i dont! hahha!! on the contrary, i think that darker colors are better. makes an asian lady more feminine. agree?
similarly for skin colors. i used to like myself tanned. being tanned made me feel confident and good abt myself. but now, i actually avoid the sun, wear shades, wear cap or use the umbrella, and apply lip balm! haha. i wanna be fair. i think girls are better off looking fair than looking tanned.
all things nice:
1) nicely decorated scrapbooks with lots of photos ( i dint haf the habit of keeping one in the past)
2) swatch watches (this is not differnt frm the past. i have always liked swatch watches)
3) nerdy teachers/lecturers/tutors (i do not like hip and happening teachers. my impression of a marvellous teacher is one who is very nerdy and geeky like mr kwek eng yeow. i love eng yeow)
4) mickey mouse and chip’n'dale (i used to hate mickey mouse!!! i used to like winnie the pooh and his/her frens. btw, is winnie a he or a she?? )
5) bags (this is a serious and recurring problem. i dint use to be captivated by bags. i mean, i could use a bag for super super long without buying new ones. but now, i simply CANT resist the temptation of bags. victim of commercialism. ta ma de)
6) shoes (thisis a new fetish. i am startg to like shoes. i think it is VERY SCARY. i have not bought any shoes eversince 6months ago( i bought one for laboratory days), but i can feel the P.E (potential energy) building within me. it is growing and i guess its consuming me! i m afraid when the dam gate opens, the flood waters of splurging will occur. mannn..)
7)hunky celebrities like RAIN and TEH PING HUAY (okay, i mean, tay ping hui. i haf always felt that hunky guys are dam disgusting. u noe lar, i like chopsticks. but now i see hunky celebs like rain and T.P.H i feel that they are desirable celebrities!! *thumbs up* actually i still like chopsticks. what i mean is, now i no longer ostracise the more bulky celebs. skinny?? ALSO CAN. muscular?? ALSO CAN!!!
reading books (i feel happy now when i read. even if its one page, two pages, or three. when i read i feel very happy!! i feel happy to be able to own a book and to read it. i dint use to feel such simple joys)
9) going home early to meddle arnd in the kitchen (i think this shows i m seriously growing old. i find it very fun and engaging. die lar. gg to be lao gu po! *kraozzz*
10) putting on make up. (i know people dont like me to put make up. alot of ppl have tried their utmost efforts to dissuade me fm putting on make up but i still like putting. duno if has become a habit. or do i really find it nice. i just wake up, brush teeth, bathe, then anihow apply some make up and off i go)
11) round/circular stuff (i seem to haf a fetish for things that are round. i dun mean bellies.for instance, hmm buttons, polka dots, super rounded cups, beads, face of a watch. i dun like angular stuff. like squares or rectangles. thats why u dun see me wearing square faced watches! )
12) roses ( its weird. i used to think roses are for ah mas. i liked tulips and lillies. women are indeed fickle. )
