aunt agony!

today has been such a fun day. i am happy i lived today, to experience such a fun fun fun day. luckily i dint manage to do silly things then. phews!! lucky me ! *thumbs up*

so, wad special day isit today?

it was singapore girls’ home’s family day!! annual event! i saw so many volunteers today after such a long break due to chingay. i haf nt gone to the girls home for 3 wks. 3 mighty long weeks! and it was like meeting up very close frens after a long time. the feeling of stepping into the girls home was such a familiar feeling. it’s beyond words. i guess i’ll really miss it when i leave girls home (okay, not as an ‘inhabitant’ of tt place of cos!) i am glad i joined this cca cos people thr are really so nice. ppl like xin xin, wendy, nadiah (*fellow chem eng fren!), judith (*chem eng senior!). very nice ppl whom you can talk to, non stop!

it was a day i felt a small sense of pride. out of the 6 games stall, 4 of the games were by me! hahahha. so wanna know wad were the games i tot of? (and i gave them funny names too)

i was helping my frens tend the booth ‘catch me if u can’!

this game is actually pretty cool. okay i must say, this is not an original idea. vjc had this carnival when i was a yr 1. thr was this booth whr ppl used paper nets to catch fishes! pretty pretty guppies.  i rember i was so drawn towards tt stall tt i invest TWO of my coupons! my paper nets kept breaking. *(uh, damn!) my class’ booth was this sliding mugs thing. i was like practically standing thr the whole day cos i was in charge of the shifts then. nt bad, class bonding!!

ok lets talk abt today’s experience at the games booth. thr was dis girl her name is xiu tong. she is those kinda quite tough kinda girl. the way she speaks, the way she carry herself, yea man, one tough girl. a typical ‘jiang3 yi4 qi4′ girl. she was so enthusiastic in helping us,she helped us fetch like 4 pails of water! and mind u! the toilet is dam far away. and she’s nt as chao geng as me. she dint use trolley. haha, i did. ops! then when i was tending the booth, she came over to find me a few times, and even used her coupon to get me an ice cream!! so touched. i can still select flavour sumore lo.i was v happy and touched because it was the first time we met and talked! and it seems like she can open up herself to every1, anyone.

she told me tt she wants to go VICTORIA JC! and i was like ‘hey man!i was from thr!!’

she asked me how much i got for l1r5 and i told her my score. then she said she got 9. i was so happy for her! despite being locked up, despite such adverse conditions, she stood up and managed to produce good results. and she was actively involved in cca too. i told her ‘yes u can do it!’ and she said very positively that she’s gg to work hard.

so happy for her. what i feel is that when ur determination is thr, u can definitely achieve many things in life. of cos, not everything! for instance, matters of the heart. those issues cannot be solved by banging ur head against the wall for n—> infinity. i guess u’ll prob concuss before n—-> infinity. haahhaha

i like to tok calk w kids.for my booth right, the time limit is 2 mins, but of cos wad limits their time limit is not the time limit (sounds confusing, huh!), but rather, the no. of fishes that they catch!! haha we only haf 600!! if they catch 10 each! we hafta close shop alr lo. so when i see that they are super aggressive and catch alot of fishes alr, i say ‘ok!!! 30s left!!’

bt u noe lar, those kinda high cannot be estoppled by simply saying ’stop!’ they keep playing and playing and out of desparation they will use their hands to cup the fishes. they are so adorable. got 1 his name is ryan. he simply loves this stall so much!! if i m not wrong, he used up like 3–4 coupons to play. i wonder whr he got the coupons from. haha. i like to make the kids kanchiong. i say ‘ok! 2 mins. catch ANY amount u want! all yours!! jiayou and faster catch!’ then they wil scramble away to the pools to ‘kick some f-ass’ (f-ass=fish ass) and they will say to each other ‘kuai dian! liang fen zhong!’

dam funny!!! u’ll laugh until peng if u were there. if i were to put a value to how much this day was worth to me, i’ld say, 10,000USD!

hmm, a few days ago i was ’stoning’ in sch’s lib and i realised something. i realised that every lady in the library was pretty! *pretty women, walking down the street, pretty women….*

WHISTLES.!

when we were younger, we’ld classify girls has ‘pretty’ or ‘not-pretty’. budden as we grow older, it seems that everyone is becoming pretty.its either that there are more pretty girls, or that i’ve grown to appreciate beauty in a different sense. in the past, it was so straight forward, if you have a combination of big eyes, nice hair, tanned skin, yea, more or less, u will be considered pretty by me. i will adore you and hope to be like you, someday, somehow, althou i know genetically, we are quite different.

note, the word is ‘combination’. which means u gotta ‘have them all’. but now, the emphasis is more on uniqueness. u do not need to be following the season’s latest trend to be pretty. u do not need big eyes. in fact, i feel that girls with slit-ty (when i see the word slit, it reminds me of X ray diffraction. YIKES!PHYSICS!) eyes are dam pretty in a sense. they emit glamour and are usualy viewed as demure and mysterious to me.

you do not need to haf bony body frame to be pretty cos i think rounded bodies are pretty hot too. they look well-nourished, and healthy.

you do not need perfect skin to shine. bt of cos, girls, pls dun expose urself to those harmful UV rays. LOOKING TANNED IS OUT! never go tanning again! oh promise me! we are no longer young. so, yea, take care to protect urself from the sun. of cos, not to make urself too ‘niang’ at the same time haha later guys bi3 shi4 u!

in the past, i alw felt a need to be pretty, in order to be accepted. bt thats really not the case now. i feel that being pretty, by itself, is not a means to solving things. how shallow was i. eh but dun laff ok! i believe u mus haf tot of such things before lar. heee. just say yes!!!

the old-school ’sexy’ is dead. it used to be dam ’sexy’ to be the bad girl. to do things to the extreme. u noe lar, those sec2-sec3 kinda mentallity. to show ‘attitude’. but, what is ‘attitude’? can they be of any use in tdy’s context?!

now, the new ‘attraction’ lies in being able to do things with great moderation. last time i would feel that play alot, nv study = COOL!! *thumbs up*

now, i feel that it’s dam cuiz, and a totally ‘wth’ situation. i feel that ppl who are able to do things with great control and moderation are the really cool dudes. they know how to do things tt normal ppl dont. i mean, how difficult, and how much talent does it need to ‘just play and heck other stuff’? It doesnt require talent, it also doesnt require resilence and other positive traits. it just requires u to take things lightly, and heck majority of the stuffs arnd so that ur emphasis is just ‘play’ or , i dunno, something else. thats way too simple. we are 21(okay, soon)!! must do something that is more up-the-level, right!
